The A.B.C. School of Cosmetology and Nail Technology Esthetics Program is a 750 hour Illinois
sanctioned licensing program to become a Esthetician. The program includes theory and practical
training to successfully pass the Illinois State Board Exam.
Employment Outlook and Salary Information

Estheticians and other skin care specialists held approximately 38,800 jobs in 2008, according to the
U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (www.bls.gov). Job opportunities in the field were expected to rise
rapidly, with 38% growth predicted in the profession between 2008 and 2018. The popularity of
rejuvenating and relaxing skin treatments was expected to fuel this growth. Estheticians and other skin
care specialists had median hourly wages of $13.81, which includes tips, in May 2008.
